Best Resources To Learn Russian
Here’s a list of Russian educational resources that can help you learn the alphabet, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, and more.
This is the list of Russian resources that Paulius used or still use:
- Russian Lessons mainly to learn cases, but you can find other information there, like verb tenses, vocabulary etc.
- Learn Russian can be clunky at times, but you can use it to learn alphabet, Phonetics and do many different exercises, the problem is that it doesn’t show which answers were wrong.
- Russian for free has beginner friendly texts and grammar exercises, there aren’t that many of them, but they have other things that you might find useful as well.
- Russian for everyone has lessons and exercises, most focus is on grammar, but website has many topics.
- On Lingua, you can find texts to read. There aren’t that many, but most of them are beginner friendly.
Some suggestions for beginners that Zorg recommend:
- Comprehensible Russian YouTube channel, Zero Beginner playlist (this is painfully slow and easy, but for complete beginners)
- Russian from Afar YouTube channel has some beginner playlists
- Natasha Brown’s wikitranslate site has a lot of beginner videos, eg: [1][2][3]
